Went to buy me a paper

Who would have thought in 1974....
ABBA on the cover of a Dutch news magazine as 70s icons!
Far out!

ABC of the seventies.
Abba
Swedish hit machine with vocals by Anni-Frid ( 'the dark haired one') and Agnetha ( 'the blonde one') and compositions by their somewhat incompetent looking other halves Benny ('the one with the beard') and Björn ('the other one'). At that time ABBA's music was disposed of by experts as being disposable and commercial pop for little kiddies, but today Benny and Björn are known as the Lennon and McCartney of the seventies.
What stayed: An ABBA reunion could be the most profitable come back of all times but according to people-in-the-know chances are as small as John Denver coming together again.
